Hello. Yes, I am still having trouble with my internet. I have someone coming over today to check it out.
So what is so great with being ordinary? Most of us would say one thing or another, but we surely do not want to others to consider ourselves just ordinary.
Yet, here we are in ordinary time in our liturgical year. I guess the Church named this time ordinary because we are not celebrating any great feast like Easter or Christmas.
An unknown author once wrote, “If the faithful are to mature in the spiritual life and increase in faith, they must descend the great mountain peaks of Easter and Christmas in order to pasture in the vast verdant meadows of Ordinary Time.”
Maybe these words will give us something to ponder as we find our way through these ordinary days and in our own little way make them extraordinary.
