3 Hello, hope all goes well.
We all have met others who seemed to be rather”ordinary”. This is not to say that they are not good persons. What I am saying that the longer we know them, the more we learn about them.
The longer we spend with these others, the more we get to realize they have abilities and talents that were not known when we first met them.
The Christian Missionary, Jim Elliott tells us today, ” Forgive me for being so ordinary while claiming to know so extraordinary a God.” Do we know God well enough to say these words? Do we really understand or try to understand how extraordinary the God of ours is?
Yet, no matter how hard we try we will never be able to comprehend our God. As St. Augustine once said.
“If you understand God, what you understand is not God.”
Yet, this God of ours, comes to us as Father. He is the one who holds our hands are we take our steps in this thing we call life. He is the one who watches over us. He is the one who is closer to us than we are to ourselves.
Yes, our God is EXTRAORDINARY. But our God is also ABBA, which translates from Arabic means “DADDY”.
