Hello!
Today we remember those angels that Jesus told us who view His Father’s face in heaven. We have come to know them as our Guardian Angel. Each of us has such an angel who has been with us from our first day until the present.
I know that many of us have different ideas about angels. Baby with little wings, holding little harps. We are given pictures of pleasant looking young girls, hovering above children as they are waling along in a wooden place, over an old bridge, and such.
But what do we know really about Guardian Angels? Here again, we have to take it on faith. Yes, we may have some kind of spirit floating around us keeping us safe, or it might be just another way of saying that God is constantly watching over us, protecting us as we go through life. Or we might have not thought about it al all and just look at it as something we tell our kits as they go to sleep.
St. John Vianney, (1786-1855) tells us, “The first thing about angels which we out to imitate is their consciousness of the presents of God.”
Should our thought about angels take what St. John tells us, well then we might do well to continue on our way thourgh life, keeping ourselves aware of God’s presents.
