Hallo
We all have had those days when nothing goes right, or we have to deal with the problems of others who come to our door.
I remember when I worked for the hospice I would go to an 8:00am meeting with the other team managers. It was only a 30-minute meeting. The next thing I knew, one manager would want to meet after the meeting, another would want to meet after I met with the first manager. I would sometimes not get to my office until 11 or 11:30. My secretary would ask, “where have you been?” All I could say is “Oh please it’s going to be one of those days!”
The Christian author and speaker, Joyce Meyer tells us, “God has equipped you to handle difficult things. In fact, He has already planted the seeds of discipline and self-control inside you. You just have to water those seeds with His word to make them grow.”
As we go through these “difficult” times, we also know that we have the ability to get through. That is why others come to us with their difficulties. The know that we are able to walk them through whatever it is they are dealing with. As I have heard it say, “God has brought us to it, and God will see us through it.”
One day at a time. One step at a time. Know that you are not alone. The Father who knows the number of hairs on our head also knows that He has given us all we need to deal with whatever comes our way.
Peace and All Good,
Fr. Vinnie, fcm and the
Bros and Srs of the
Franciscan House of Prayer.
