Greetings.
I am sure we all have seen comedies where kids will say to one another, “My daddy can beat your daddy up. . .”
It’s like playing King of the Hill, it’s “good to be the king.!” But what happens when you hill starts to get smaller and smaller? It’s hard to be a king of the hill when you don’t have a hill to be king on.
Sometimes our problems are like that. We sometimes think we can handle whatever comes our way, no matter how big the problem is we are able to face it and beat it down. Or so we think.
We have to come to the understanding that we may at one time or another, have to ask someone for help. Sometimes, or should I say many times, we have to come to realize that some of our problems are larger than we or anyone else is able to handle.
An unknown author once wrote ” Don’t tell God how big your problems are . . . tell your problems how big your God is.”
Yes, it’s good to be the King of the Hill, but if we are to look around, our hill is in no way as high as God’s. Maybe we need to realize we need to bend the knee and realize the no daddy is going to is going to beat up the Abba (Daddy) of us all.
