Good morning.
Today we remember someone we all may have heard of yet another famous Carmelite Nun, St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, also known as Theresa the Little Flower.
Theresa is one of the few women who have the title “Doctor of the Church”. This title is given to those who through their writings, reflections, and preaching have added to the theology of the Church.
It was said of Theresa as she was near death, that she would her eternity praying for the Church. She leaves us with this thought. “Miss no single opportunity of making some small sacrifice, here by a smiling look, there by a kind word; always doing the smallest right and doing it all for love.”
We all cannot be Doctors of the Church. Not all of us cannot have churches named after us or universal feast days celebrated in our honor, BUT we ALL can become saints.
