Hello. Hope your week is going along well.
Today we remember one of the chosen twelve, St. Barnabas. He was a Jew from Cyprus. Barabas was the one who introduced St. Paul to St. Peter and the other apostles. It is said that he served as a kind of mentor to Paul and the Christians who saw Paul as one who persecuted the Church.
St. Barnabas gives us this thought today. “Without grace there is no hope, but with it there is no shortage.” We are able to see this saying come to fulfillment in the person of Paul as he becomes the Apostles to the Gentiles.
As we try to live out our Christian life, let us keep in mind that as much as we wish to live a good Christian life, we cannot do it alone. We need to pray for the grace to overcome the temptations that call us to live in a very different way. It is that virtue of HOPE that gives us the strength to live as Christ calls us to live by loving one another,
