5/4/2026 MONDAY OF THE FIFTH WEEK OF EASTER

Hello, hope your weekend was good.

As we are still in the celebrating Easter in these 50 days, we are reminded of just what this season means to us. The Easter event is the center and foundation of our or faith. In Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, He has released us all from the sin that would hold us back from a true union with the Father. As I mentioned before, the worship of a dead god does nothing for us. St. Paul tell the community at Corinth, If Christ did not rise from the dead, we are the foolish of people.

The great Evangelical pastor T. D. Jakes tells us, “Here is the amazing thing about Easter; the resurrection Sunday for Christians is this, that Christ in the dying moments on the cross gives us the greatest illustration of forgiveness possible.”

That fact in itself is worth 50 days of celebration. It also reminds us that 50 days extends to the rest of our lives. We have been saved by Jesus and His rising from the tomb. “Let us rejoice and be glade.”

Peace and All Good,

Fr. Vinnie, fcm and the

Bros and Srs of the

Franciscan House of Prayer.
