Hello. I hope all is going well. I don’t know about you, but for me time is flying by so quickly. I cannot believe that we are almost through the month of September.
Today we remember a saint that most of us would remember. Padre Pio also remembered as Pio of Pietrelcina.
Pio or as in English, Pius, was a Capuchin Franciscan friar who lived in “our time”. So often we remember saints who lived hundred years ago.
It is said that Pio was an extremely humble and simple man. But people sought him out for confessions and spiritual guidance. He is truly an example of what we all are called to be.
Pio gives us this thought today. “Prayer is the best weapon we have; it is the key to God’s heart. You must speak to Jesus not only with your lips, but with your heat. In fact, on certain occasions, you should only speak to Him with your heart.”
But isn’t that the way lovers speak to one another, more with their hearts instead of their lips?
